Walthers Cornerstone HO Scale Office & Guard Shack Kit - 933-3517

Walthers Cornerstone HO Scale Office & Guard Shack Kit 933-3517 gives modelers a realistic security and office facility for developing industrial entrances, railroad yards, intermodal terminals, and other controlled-access properties on an HO scale layout. Based on security buildings used at industrial and military installations, this kit provides structures and details for representing the daily operations of facilities where vehicle access and property security are important.

The Office & Guard Shack Kit includes a corrugated security guard shack, an office building, positionable gates, and printed stop and warning signs. These components allow modelers to create a recognizable entrance checkpoint where vehicles entering or leaving an industrial property can be monitored. The easy-to-build plastic kit is molded in appropriate colors and can be painted or weathered to match the surrounding scene.

The office building measures 4-1/16 x 2-15/16 x 1-5/8 inches (10.3 x 7.5 x 4.1 cm), while the gate shack measures 3-11/16 x 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 inches (9.4 x 3.2 x 3.2 cm). Modelers developing additional facilities can explore HO Scale Walthers Cornerstone structures and the complete Walthers Cornerstone collection for related buildings and layout projects.

Build an HO Scale Industrial Security Checkpoint

The Office & Guard Shack provides a practical way to represent controlled vehicle access at a busy industrial facility. Position the structures near an entrance road, factory gate, or large parking area to create a security checkpoint serving employees, delivery vehicles, and visiting trucks. The positionable gates and warning signs help establish the purpose of the entrance while adding detail to the surrounding property.

For factories, processing plants, and other businesses that can benefit from a controlled entrance, explore Walthers Cornerstone industrial structures. Combining security buildings with larger industrial facilities can help modelers develop a more complete working industrial district.

Develop Railroad Yards, Warehouses, and Industrial Terminals

Security checkpoints are also familiar features of railroad yards, intermodal terminals, automobile assembly plants, steel works, and large distribution facilities. The Office & Guard Shack can be positioned along an access road leading into one of these properties, helping separate public streets from restricted industrial areas.

Browse Walthers Cornerstone factories and warehouses for additional manufacturing and distribution buildings. A guard shack near a warehouse entrance can help establish the movement of delivery trucks and employees throughout a busy commercial property.

For steel mills and other large industrial complexes, explore Walthers Cornerstone heavy industry structures. Security buildings can help define the entrance to a larger industrial complex with multiple operating areas.
