The Rapido HO Scale Amtrak EMD CF7 #582 recreates one of Amtrak's distinctive former Santa Fe CF7 locomotives in its Silver Non-Revenue appearance. Finished in Platinum Mist and black with black lettering, #582 represents its mid-1980s+ Amtrak appearance and features the square-cab configuration along with extensive road-number-specific detailing.

Rapido's HO Scale CF7 combines extensive prototype detailing with excellent operating performance. The model features a heavy die-cast chassis, smooth-running 5-pole motor with dual flywheels, etched metal grilles and steps, separately applied grab irons and handrails, detailed underbody components and a full multi-color cab interior. Working headlights, ground lights, number boards and appropriate lighting details add even more realism.
