Explore JTT Pro-Elite model trees for focal plantings, railway-town landscapes and carefully composed wooded scenes. Compare the named species and stated heights to choose a tree group that supports the scene rather than simply filling an empty space.
Give a focal planting room to be seen
Try the tree beside a station garden, at a road bend or beyond a small bridge, then check it from normal viewing height. Leave a visible relationship between the tree and the neighboring structure. A foreground planting should not hide the track feature or train that makes the scene interesting.
Plan the surrounding railway scene
Consider trees around a station approach, on a village green, behind a farmhouse or at the edge of an open field. A deliberate planting can connect the railway to the surrounding town and landscape. Place the largest scenic features first, then test the tree positions around them. Leave an opening toward a platform, road or train-viewing point, and compare an isolated tree with a small group before choosing the final arrangement.
How do I choose the right tree size for a train layout?
Compare the actual model height with a familiar building or piece of rolling stock. Scale labels alone do not determine the appearance of a planting; scene depth, available space and viewing distance also guide the choice.
