Testors Enamel Paints
Shop Testors Enamel Paints for model trains, locomotives, rolling stock, structures and railroad modeling at Train Supply. The classic 0.25 fl oz (7.4 mL) Testors square-bottle enamels provide modelers with a wide selection of gloss, flat, metallic, fluorescent and specialty colors for detailed finishing work.
These traditional solvent-based hobby enamels are useful anywhere a model railroad project calls for controlled brush painting, small-area coverage, touch-up work or custom color application. Their compact bottle size makes it practical to keep a broad assortment of colors available at the workbench without buying more paint than a detail project requires.
Enamel Paint for Locomotives and Rolling Stock
Testors enamel colors can be used for a wide range of railroad modeling projects, including locomotive details, freight and passenger car components, interiors, underframes, trucks, machinery, handrails, equipment and custom modeling work. Gloss, semi-gloss and flat colors make it possible to choose a finish appropriate to the part being modeled rather than relying on one universal sheen.
The range also includes metallic and metal-colored shades useful for engines, machinery, tools, wheels, piping and mechanical details, along with bright and fluorescent colors for safety markings, equipment accents, maintenance vehicles and specialized projects.
Paint for Model Railroad Structures and Scenery
Testors enamels are not limited to trains themselves. They are useful for structures, signs, automobiles, trucks, figures, industrial equipment, loading-dock details, maintenance facilities and many other elements found around a model railroad.
Flat browns, tans, grays, rust colors and other earth or industrial tones are especially useful when building structures, scenery details and weathered railroad environments. Gloss and brighter colors can be used for signs, vehicles, trim, equipment and freshly painted surfaces.
Using Testors Enamel Paint
Stir Testors enamel paint thoroughly before use, particularly after storage, because pigments can settle in the bottle. Apply to a clean, dry and properly prepared surface using light coats and allow adequate drying time between applications. A compatible enamel thinner can be used when paint reduction or cleanup is required.
